The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art located in New York City, New York rebrands their museum to capture a more contemporary audience and provide a better way to communicate and achieve the goals stated in the museum’s mission and vision, “present the art, culture, and history of Tibet to a world audience” through pattern and bright colors. The new logo is a group collaboration and represents the intricacy of Tibetan art that uses an attractive color scheme and also accurately depicts the wide array of color used in the culture’s art works. A pattern created from the logo is used in all aspects of the museum’s branding. The café menu, which I designed using the group’s logo incorporates a Tibetan feel while also presenting information in a way that allows one to find what they are looking for quickly.
